Siemens Basics of PLCs Lab
We invite you to attend our upcoming in-person and hands-on training, Siemens Basics of PLCs, presented at our Houston office by Ryan Hubacz, Applications Engineer. Become familiar with Siemens automation devices and corresponding software, including the SIMATIC S7-1200, TP700 Comfort HMI, and TIA Portal software platform.
Participants will be given a project scope and will be tasked with choosing the appropriate hardware, defining the functionality, writing ladder logic to achieve the functionality, and testing their solution, all while employing AWC best practices.
The following topics will be covered during the workshop:
- Defining required hardware components
- Specifying complete hardware design
- Define the functionality of the PLC logic
- Applying the concept of state machines to PLC logic
- Intro to ladder logic (LAD) and wiring and addressing of inputs and outputs
- Navigating the TIA Portal software interface
- Establishing connection between PLC, HMI and programming device.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting logic in real time
